{ are you ready for some football ? }

So this is the semi-confession of a 20-something-year-old female. We’re smack in the middle of football season and I am loving it!!!! I am a total girly-girl except when it comes to sports, particularly college football and college basketball. Kind of quirky I know being able to love shop and love watching sports too, but oh well. Being around college sports over the past year for work I have come to love it even more.

Last week I attended my first University of Utah Football game (shhh don’t tell anyone). I went with my sister and husband. They have season tickets. It was such a fun experience. I definitely still have my bias for BYU football, but it made me respect Utah so much more.

They played Oregon State who, if you don’t follow football, had a major upset over USC the previous week. Unfortunately we left with three minutes left in the game. Oregon State was up and Utah wasn’t playing very well so we decided to beat traffic. As we were leaving I jokingly apologized to my brother-in-law for being in attendance telling him I must be bad luck. He responded, “Ya, we need to get the Cougar out of the Stadium.” Apparently he was right because as we were crossing the street the crowd went crazy. Utah made a huge come back and won with seconds left in the game.

Also, while I was back home in Spokane visiting I was able to go see my little brother play a couple games for his high school team. He did really well (at least I think so). I wish I could go to more. It was so much fun watching Scottie play. They are currently ranked fourth in the state. Go Bears!!! So that is my confession. I love this game. Maybe I'll get to go to a BYU game soon!
