addicted

Confession. I'm starting to think I have an addictive personality.
No joke. What is making me start to realize this?
One word.

LOST.

I just finished watching Season 4 last night. You guys. It's a problem.
Should I worry that all I want to do is watch it? Please tell me I'm normal.

I think just need to finish it so I can have my life back.

p.s. Team Jack, though Sawyer is right up there.

Halloween and Such

I'm just gonna come out and say it.
I am not a huge fan of Halloween. Gasp.

Let me clarify ... I'm not against it by any means!
It just has never been a big deal to me.

With that said, though, I actually enjoyed Halloween festivities this year.
A million times better than last year's experience. #traumatic

I actually dressed up for a Halloween party on Friday!
That was a big deal for me.

Scotty went as a 90's rocker. Note the Nirvana shirt.

I went as Waldo.
Can you find me?

Pretty scary, huh?

On Halloween Stephanie made Puppy Chow to share and we watched a semi-scary movie.
I am a wimp when it comes to scary movies.
I mean Hocus Pocus scared me until I was a teenager.
Did I just admit that?!?!

Steph and her yummy Puppy Chow.

Best part of this picture is my laptop.
Yes we were digging for details on the Kim Kardashian divorce news. #notashamed
After all my family has been referred to as the Blonde Kardashians.

What did ya'll do for Halloween?
Probably not as much fun as my internet surfing, movie watching, sugar-filled night.
Just sayin.

Taylor Swift ... the other girl

I should have not been surprised when Scotty told me he got me Taylor Swift tickets for my birthday. She is, after all, his other girlfriend.

To Scotty's chagrin (I'm guessing) I relentlessly refer to T Swift as his girlfriend. Why? Let me tell you a little story ... it goes back all the way to our first interaction with each other.

Scotty was our ward executive secretary (In other words, he set up meetings for church members to meet with the bishop). I had made an appointment sometime in October as I was planning on going through the temple in November.

The bishop was running late and I was the only other person waiting. If anyone knows Scotty, he can start up a conversation with anyone. He told me he was going to run a half marathon in a few weeks (Sometime you should ask him how it went). Obviously my ears perked up because of my love for running.

He told me he needed to make a playlist. So we started talking about music. Taylor Swift came up and he mentioned how good looking he thought she was. I believe the word gorgeous was used. So I asked him who he thought was prettier, Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood. He said T Swift.

Say whaaaaaa???? I WAS FLOORED!!! I mean I'm a major Taylor fan and all. But he was talking to a girl who wishes she could be Carrie Underwood. #teamcarrie

I kept teasing him about this infatuation with Miss Swift until I the bishop called me in. I think I even said something to him about it as I was leaving.

When I got home that night I turned on the TV and there was an E! True Hollywood Story on about her. I just had to laugh and immediately texted Scotty the following ... In case you were wondering, your girlfriend is on TV.

See? I shouldn't have been so surprised.

He just wanted to have an excuse to go to the concert to see his other girlfriend. I told him I was fine with it as long as he told me I was prettier than her ... oh and that I could get a new outfit. I mean I got me some major competition on my hands. Regardless I was way excited to go!

I will hand it to Miss Swift. She sure knows how to put on a concert. Seriously nothing was overlooked from the dancers, to several costume changes, to fireworks, to going out over the crowd in a balcony.

Not only do I love her music ... it was an amazing concert. Probably the best I've been to.

Did I mention how awesome our seats were?
Don't mind my ginormous hand and gum in my mouth.

Best birthday present ever!
Even if I am second in line.

my week according to my phone

This week I came across a new phone ap. My phone might be almost as cool as an iPhone now ... except for the fact I can't download words with friends (sore subject).

Anyway, my week looked a little like this...

1.  While returning something at a local department store, I happened upon a blue-wrap dress that looked very similar to Kate Middleton's (remember how much I love her?). It pretty much begged me to try it on ... even though I had no intention on purchasing.

2. I lost my iPod and almost had a nervous breakdown. Don't worry. It is safely back in my possession. All is well.

3. My sister and her girls came down Saturday night for a slumber party so their dad could study for his big test. We swam in the pool and watched Tangled. And by watched Tangled I mean they quoted the entire movie for me while it was on in the background.

4. I have had this sudden urge to go on a shopping spree, which may include a new pair of Sperry's (Those were borrowed). Betsy ... are you reading this?

5. My favorite peaches have finally arrived from Alred Farms!!!! I think Scotty thought I was crazy for how excited I got about getting to buy them. Seriously if you are ever in Provo it's off of University Avenue.

6. My sister got in a car accident. That is not a fun phone call to get as I am very protective of her. She is fine thank goodness. Her car not so much, but it is being fixed as we speak.

i spy with my little eye...

Pippa Middleton wearing the same shoes I have (except I got mine for $5).

Pretty much this means I could be mistaken as a celebrity.

Speaking of celebrities.
Guess who I saw at the Salt Lake City airport today?

That's right. Katherine Heigl!
P.S. What is she wearing in this pic?

Sooo I dress like a celebrity and am in the presence of celebrities?
Turns out I probably should start looking in the bushes for the papa-papa-paparazzi.

But seriously, I really did see Katherine Heigl at the airport today.
She walked right past me.
Where did I go you ask?
I am in Washington right now trying to save these people from themselves boredom.

Actually I'm in Washington to run a half marathon with my sister and dad. The nerves are starting to kick in. I haven't trained as well as I should have. The only thing I have on my side is hydration and the altitude. Hope they don't have to come rescue me along the trail. Wish me luck!

royalty

I am not going to lie, I am slightly obsessed with the royal couple to-be ... and their recently-released engagement pictures. I know what you're thinking. Lisa, get a life. Sometimes I tell myself that too. But only sometimes.

I mean if I have to live vicariously through other people ... which I do because this is nowhere in the cards for me anytime soon (or ever) ... I might might as well live vicariously through the royal couple. Right?

Bottom line They're a cute couple. Kate is super classy,
not to mention she is so gorgeous it makes me sick.

{ hair today ... }

No I didn't cut my hair. And not planning on it. Quite the opposite actually. I am trying to grow it out. Problem though. My hair doesn't grow fast. And knowing that my little sister's hair grows like weeds makes it that much more frustrating. Hmmm.

Anyway, those that know me well know that Carrie Underwood is pretty much my idol. Ok not really. But I do love her, her style and her hair.
I am aspiring to have hair like this.

(I know there are probably extensions hidden in there,
but a girl can dream right?)

That will be the day. It makes me feel better that maybe soon I can pull off a look like hers. She just cut her hair. I'm determined to style my hair like this soon. I only have like an inch to go.

Anyone want to be my personal hair stylist?
Or just teach me?

Speaking of Carrie Underwood...
I bought tickets to Stadium of Fire. I already have them in hand...actually hidden in a safe place. Nobody is going to steal those puppies from me. They are awesome seats too. Though I do love the 4th of July I don't think I've ever been this excited for the holiday.
Let's keep in mind that it's only March.
